Community acupuncture is a group setting treatment in which fees are based on a sliding scale and the patient decides how much to pay within the scale:
Initial treatments are $40-60
Subsequent treatments are $30-50
Community-style acupuncture treatments involve being comfortably reclined on treatment tables that are arranged in a relaxing group setting. Acupuncture points are done mainly on the scalp, ears, lower arms/wrists/hands and lower legs/ankles/feet. Please come in comfortable clothing that can be easily rolled to elbow and knee height. If your main health issue is shoulder pain, please bring or wear a tank-top shirt to easily expose your area of concern.
This style of acupuncture creates a collective healing environment. The goal for community acupuncture is to make acupuncture more affordable and accessible to all people in the community.
Please arrive 5 minutes early on your first visit to fill out any paperwork. And remember to speak softly as others may be trying to relax.
"I also applaud Fiona for creating a space that makes this kind of healing more accessible with the sliding scale rates."
