COVID-19 Prevention Plan Highlights

As the safety of everyone in our community is my main priority, I have implemented my prevention plan in accordance to my governing authorities including the Provincial Health Officer, the Ministry of Health, the BC Centre for Disease Control, WorkSafeBC, the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia and the British Columbia Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Practitioners.

  1. Pre-screening

  • All patients are pre-screened 24 hours prior to his/her appointment and again at the beginning of his/her appointment to determine risk level of continuing with treatment

  • Your acupuncturist will also do a self assessment before each shift and self check ins through out the day

2. During Your Appointment

  • 2 metres of social distancing will be maintained whenever possible

  • Handsanitizer is available for patient use

  • Personal masks are required.

  • Your acupuncturist will be wearing personal protective equipment including a cloth mask, face shield, and labcoat/scrubs as recommended by health authorities

  • Your acupuncturist will be washing and/or sanitizing her hands multiple times throughout your appointment

3. Cleaning and Disinfecting

  • All furniture and equipment touched by patients will be disinfected between each patient

  • All linens are change between patients and stored in sealed bins

  • High traffic areas will be disinfected at least twice per day

  • Floors will be disinfected once per day
