Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the burning of mugwort to facilitate healing. The purpose of moxibustion, as with most forms of traditional Chinese medicine, is to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow of qi, and maintain general health.
Moxibustion is mainly used when there is some type of internal cold issue manifesting as chronic diarrhoea, painful period etc. Moxibustion is more commonly known to help facilitate the turning of breech position babies.
